Adventurer | An Assertive Adventurer (ISFP-A) is a person with the Introverted, Observant, Feeling, and Prospecting personality traits. They tend to have open minds, approaching life, new experiences, and people with grounded warmth. Their ability to stay in the moment helps them uncover exciting potentials. First Impressions | eren has a naturally striking posture and aura, always standing rather high both literally and figuratively. he canonly tends to wear his hair either down or in a bun, while in aefenglom he’s adopted occasional braids in the mix. tattoos resembles a skeletal frame starting from the middle of his shoulder blades down to his tail in teal color, and it lights up entirely when charged with enchantments (usually against cold, water, or a one-time-use power up for breath.) over the heart is a teleportation spell connected to and shared with his bond, styx.

he now has scarring on:

-both hands between the thumb and wrist, into the beginning of the palm (from biting himself)
-a jagged gash from the bottom of the ear to the beginning of the nape (mimic monster bite)
-deep line scars around the neck and worse at the nape (bola incident)
-jaws marks and tearing wounds on both sides of the neck (deeper and mutilated as of november 2020, dragon fight) and where his right wing connects to his ribs (turnskin bite).
- as of january 1st, 2021, eren is missing his left leg, starting at the beginning of the shin.

dress includes sleeveless cloaks, shawls, capes and ponchos— basically anything that leaves his arms and torso free if he doesn't just discard a top in hot weather. loose-fitting pants up to the knees at most, with a preference for sweatpants. no shoes, but you can see him wearing protective sole-gear in cold weather.

scents and tastes are of smoke, earth, burnt matches, a subtle blend of cardamom & anise spice, and fresh lemon & grapefruit citrus.

monster changes

eren is a dragon (more specifically, a wyvern) aligned with fire as his main and only element. i've based a lot of his changes not only from existing dragons in media and lore, but a variety of real-life lizards, specifically tegus, bearded dragons, iguanas and komodo dragons. a larger version of the ref (commission by crescendoll) can be found here while a messy full body ref here.

physical

• ᴛᴇᴇᴛʜ regrown and sharpened to a deadly point. all of them. (✘ ✘)

• sᴄᴀʟᴇs most are charcoal to muddy black, located in thicker patches over shoulders, shoulder blades, jugulars, forearms, top of the hands and feet, ribs, back, thighs, ears, forehead, and corner of the eyes dragging down the cheeks. sunset colors accent joints and corners. these become more saturated when experiencing a strong emotion (anger, excitement, etc), and dull when he feels the opposite. softer scaling and discolored skin covers the rest, only leaving his palm, soles of feet and middle of the face with a more human color and texture. two of the scales grow in the opposite direction and when touched (forehead & right arm joint), renders him limp, pleased and docile. he won't like them getting touched if it isn't invited. (✘ ✘)

• ᴇʏᴇs pupils are slit, diurnal-based (but not entirely bad at night-seeing, though not as good as nocturnal monsters) and vision is very color oriented, seeing hues much stronger and differently than humans do; able to perceive the ultraviolet light spectrum— which just means he sees orange instead of green, blue instead of grey, knows where to sunbathe to kill bacteria, #justlizardthings. (✘ ✘)

• ɴɪᴄɪᴛᴀᴛɪɴɢ ᴍᴇᴍʙʀᴀɴᴇs translucent third eyelid. these swipe across his eyes more than he actually "blinks". (✘)

• ᴠᴏᴍᴇʀᴏɴᴀsᴀʟ ᴏʀɢᴀɴ olfactory organ located just above the roof of the mouth and used as a strong chemoreceptor to pheromones and odor particles collected by the tongue (earning the imagery of "tasting smells"). detection of who and what's around eren depends largely on this, and can allow him to pinpoint a certain scent up to 4 kilometers away. (✘)

• ʜᴏʀɴs the first and older pair start at the beginning of the forehead and slightly curve back following the top of the head’s contour with an ice-blue crystal in texture meant to resemble titan hardening. a second pair grows just underneath the older pair and curve sideways, same texture and color. the bases are sensitive and pleasurable to touch. (✘ ✘)

• ᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴇᴅ ᴇᴀʀs long, completely scaled and capable of movement depending on mood or external sounds. (✘)

• ʜᴇɪɢʜᴛ eren has grown to be seven feet tall due to the growth dragons usually have as the largest of monsters. • ᴛᴀʟᴏɴs non retractable; black fingertips, ice-blue nails with a crystal-like aspect up to the knuckles.

• ᴇxᴛʀᴀ ᴍᴜsᴄʟᴇ lines the ribcage, back and shoulders for breath sac and wing support. looks almost like a second set of pectorals. dragons are known to be the strongest monsters in talam, so he aso has increased strength he's constantly careful with.

• ʙʀᴇᴀᴛʜ sᴀᴄ his throat, chest, tail tip, and between some scales light up when fire is burned. (✘)

• ᴀʀᴍ ᴡɪɴɢs longer than human arms. black-orange-red pattern membranes that stretch from various arm and elbow spines to his hips and ribs.

• ᴇxᴛʀᴀ ғɪɴɢᴇʀs one extra digit for each hand that don't really look like digits, so seven on each hand, fourteen in total. his pinky and ring fingers have elongated into misuse and always need to be kept curled back for day to day functioning. thus, he only actively seems to use four fingers: thumb, index, middle and the extra.

• ᴅɪɢɪᴛɪɢʀᴀᴅᴇ ʟᴇɢs like thigh-highs but thicc. (✘)

• ᴛᴀɪʟ with prominent dorsal spines down to a very pointy end; the tip covered with thin protrusions much like porcupine spines, needle-like spiking that finishes into a somewhat arrowhead formation. when relaxed, they're smoothed down and inoffensive. when tense, immensely excited or upset, they erect (proving painful if smacked with) and rattle loudly. between said spines is also a pleasure spot.

• ғᴏʀᴋᴇᴅ ᴛᴏɴɢᴜᴇ unnervingly long & blue.

• ɴsғᴡ 🐊 penis.

behavioral

• ʜᴏᴀʀᴅɪɴɢ eren hoards anything sharp and cutting, from knives and swords to broken glass and paper that has left a papercut.

• ʙᴜʀʀᴏᴡɪɴɢ he digs a lot and finds himself more comfortable in these closed spaces than high roosts. the tunnels he makes are large enough to fit people, visually resembling a miner's tunnel. what's worse, they're in corkscrews and have a lot of strategically placed dead ends. one massive lair sits between the bright wall and aefenglom that has been over a year in making. his hoard is also secured here. (✘)

• ᴍᴀᴛɪɴɢ sᴇᴀsᴏɴ from may until august, eren is generally a lot more colorful, receptive to physical FRICTION, sexual encounters, and desperately thirsts for a good fight. you'll also find him swaggering plenty during this time to call attention to himself for potential partners, even if he isn't always aware of it.

• ᴅɪᴇᴛ omnivorous, with preference towards fruit and live game with heavy magic content (witches, dragons and faekind)

• ғᴀᴇ ғɪxᴀᴛɪᴏɴ admiration of faekind based on individual personality. can be seen as a prominent interest usually (following, curiosity, scenting, tasting), and fae dust can influence him to varying degrees of a high. eren may feel an overwhelming sense of protection toward most fae, yet fae blood seems to be the most appealing and overwhelming to him, occasionally causing rationality to lapse into an intoxicated faeral (hah) state if he consumes. based on austurian & cantabrian lore.

• ᴘᴏssᴇssɪᴏɴ rather then being generally possessive as dragons are, eren's possession locks onto freedom, free will, symbols and notions of freedom and his hoard.

• ᴛʜᴇ ʜᴜɴɢᴇʀ based on general dragon lore. eren has an insatiable appetite, specifically for those who anger him or oppose him when emotion runs high. people or even objects will seem more appetizing the more they anger or upset him, with an additional preference for high magical content.

• sᴏᴄɪᴀʟɪᴢᴀᴛɪᴏɴ eren is a dragon cursed with a rather demanding social spectrum and doesn't do mentally well when he's alone or feeling lonely because of that. he'll frequently seek out groups, company and festivities to actively remain around people, but still maintains a nomadic sort of independence, often jumping from house to house or place to place without stationing in a single spot for long.

• ᴀʀᴍ ᴡᴀᴠɪɴɢ recognition behavior; eren will slowly wave his arm in a bit of a circular motion to signify that he’s aware of someone’s presence. it’s literally no different from an awkward sort of “hello, i see you”. it’s also a form of submission.

• ʜᴇᴀᴅʙᴏʙʙɪɴɢ or “pushups”. generally used as another form of acknowledgement, but eren will also bob his head with more energy as a sign of dominance, courting or territorial aggression.

• sᴡᴀɢɢᴇʀ this stylized walk is done when trying to court. scales are brightly colored, standing high, tail slightly arched. when approached, eren will either lean away or walk in circles around the person in question to at all times present the biggest possible broadside profile. smolder . . ..

• ᴛᴀɪʟ ᴛᴡɪᴛᴄʜɪɴɢ not unlike a cat; usually done when stimulated with curiosity-inducing activities such as hunting, playing, etc. can also point to a mixed-emotion state.

full moon

on full moons, eren’s dorsal spines grow larger and wider into fins. his scale coverage becomes full body and takes on the sleeker appearance of a reptile, (yes, genitals hidden away). his overall wing structure is expanded and more draconic, making standing straight on two legs uncomfortable, either hunching forward or bat walking, or a mix of both, to facilitate movement.

eren is generally more cranky and prone to anger and outbursts on full moons, with accented territorial dominance and aggression toward other dragons when left unchecked. he’s more likely to seek conflict, and behavioral traits tend to intensify.

on the second night of the lunar phase, eren’s is forced into his dragon form until the sun rises. more information on eren’s fully shifted form can be found below!

abilities

close quarters combat |

eren is an efficient fighter who excels in hand to hand combat. he has a fist-focused + grappling oriented style that is frequently compared to mma, tending more to takedowns, limb locks or strategized position switches. (✘)

fire breath + fire elemental |

eren can breathe fire in both forms; short small bursts are achieved in his usual form, while his draconic shift can gain a far more explosive and destructive stream capable of lasting moments at a time. eren’s throat, tail tip, ribcage and between some scales become iridescent as he prepares for its use and during. smoke may rise from his nostrils as well as a sulfuric smell when the breath sac is open and broiling.

naturally, eren has fire and heat resistance that feels like a delightful bask in the sun and pure energy baths, no matter how impossibly hot something is. with that comes his obvious weakness: water and cold. water tends to be the greater oppressor, causing eren’s scales to sizzle and burn when in contact until lethargy sets in from dropping his body temperature. cold can easily be overcome if it’s little and eren is hotter, but overwhelming cold will force him into pseudo-brumation, where he’ll become increasingly unresponsive and drowsy until heated in time.

compelling voice |

a lesser ability tied to his blood. one is frozen and compelled to listen to what he asks, and may heed his words or reject him freely when presented with the choice to. it’ll only work if your character is willing. those who accept his “challenge” will have their will in what they’re doing monstrously doubled to succeed, and those who deny it might just feel like useless slaves. or livestock? go eat some grass. generally works only when eren’s emotions are running high, positive or negative. based on middle earth + spanish lore.

compelling blood |

eren’s blood contains a compelling property that can either be absorbed through the skin (slower onset) or consumed (instant onset), causing the user to feel a reverberating strike like static before being mentally enforced to fulfill their deepest longing of freedom, either in general or what they seek at the time by "borrowing" eren's magic.

this facet could be anything from giving them the boost needed to fight with incredible ferocity for something they believe in (and are too afraid/guilty of acting), indulge in pleasure, give in to instinct, etc etc, very literally. you’re free to play around with that as much as you’d like, mix and match, have fun! users might even feel like eren’s voice is egging them on in their head, ranging from gentle to aggressive, but that’s completely optional! examples:

permanent bond. the drummer of a metal band and introduced eren to the world of core. a gentle giant and a well meaning friend so pure that the world isn't ready for him. if anything happened to styx eren would kill everyone in this room and then himself.

lady maria

permanent bond. a mutual agreement to constant (emergency) mana exchange and wilde/fighter team ups that started temporary and rose to permanent. possibly not the best of pairs if one half mentally destabilizes, but they can overall take advantage of a powerful, pure fire-based bond, a mutual like for strong booze and anchoring for eren to seek out purpose and peace. she also has no problems killing him. blood pact neato.

dragon shift

eren can shift into a mostly black wyvern at will, and forced into it on the second day of the full moon. this form lacks flesh around the maw, exposing his fangs from the side similar to the new attack titan, and causing his speech to spit and slur more where "s" and "ch" sounds are used. the way eren shifts and deshifts is by "tearing" apart his outer flesh while the new one grows in, like shedding skin too small or too large for him (examples include the shape shifters from lsr). skin breaks and tears; bones grow, pop and crack into places, and harder scales regrow to completely cover the form all in a matter of moments, causing extreme discomfort, pain, and, i guess it's just gross. if you'd rather not like having these descriptors in a thread, please let me know so i can skip over it!

the dragon form's size depends heavily on mood and energy, and can range anywhere from the size of a domestic chicken to an adult male bush elephant. cold weather and low energy generally compels eren to shrink to his smaller size for conservation, while too much energy can cause eren to go big mac to be able to expel some of it.

the dragons that most closely resemble what i imagine in shape and color, and what i use as main inspirations are drogon from game of thrones, smaug from the hobbit and the flame stalker from day of dragons.

⯌ Physical Contact depends on person and season. overly touchy strangers won’t be appreciated unless invited, friends are okay if it’s simple. eren is more open to physical contact during the summer and winter months and more likely to initiate it himself without any problems or side eyeing. there are also four hot spots he guards, will not like uninvited touching and will react accordingly (though this doesn’t mean you can’t go ahead and try, by all means): forehead, tail, middle of shoulder, base of horns.

⯌ Mental Contact please get in contact with me if you plan on doing this so i can give you info to work with! eren is extremely guarded mentally speaking and his mind is not only made of his own memories/experiences, but five different people or more through eldian paths and titan inheritance. he keeps a cork on it even with bonds to avoid mental overwhelming, which could very easily happen if anyone forcefully tries it.

⯌ Romance & Shipping i’m living the multishipping slut life here in aefenglom, m/f, m/m, w/e and i’ll probably be down for it. i only ask that any potential partners have cr with eren beforehand, and from there we can see where things go or where we’d like for it to go. eren has a monster mating season that starts in may and ends in august, so that could be an easier season to get spicy 👀 he keeps a strict divide between pleasure and his own feelings in aef, so he tends to not get too emotionally involved with people and makes that rather clear (those feelings are reserved for a very small amount of characters and i’d still prefer it remain small). i’m definitely up for writing some drama if that’s your cup of tea, too, so in the end: let’s chat about it!
